The Cuxhaven Beachhotel sits right by the beach, in an area with almost no traffic, so it’s peaceful and quiet. The rooms aren’t especially large, but they’re clean, tidy, inviting, and well furnished. The beds were super comfortable, and there were several pillow sizes to choose from. I especially appreciated that the rooms had no carpet. There’s a lot to discover in the hotel's decor, with striking pieces and objets d’art throughout. It’s family-run, and that welcoming hospitality came through during our stay, from reception to the friendly, attentive breakfast and bar service. We could also get tips on activities and sights. Breakfast offered a wide range, from Continental and full British to vegan options, with an emphasis on organic, local produce. The bar has a broad choice of wines, beers, cocktails, and spirits.

The staff were all welcoming and friendly, and the hotel pays close attention to guest comfort, including special dietary needs. It’s a wonderful family-run place right along Cuxhaven beach, with comfortable beds, a varied organic breakfast buffet, and an evening lounge. I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing stay and the beauty of the North Sea. Restaurants are easy to reach, including German, Greek, and Italian places, as well as a bakery.

We had such a good three-night stay. The hosts were warm and friendly, and the room was really comfortable. From the door, you can head straight out on trekking routes, with the beach right there and restaurants an easy walk away. We’d happily return to Sahlenburg on another holiday.

The water view from our room was wonderful, and it had everything we needed: a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom with a fun radio, and tasty tea. We also loved being able to walk to the mud flats, nearby food spots, and little tourist shops; there’s a bus stop close by for getting into the town center. The owners were kind and made sure we were comfortable. A lovely place to enjoy Cuxhaven’s natural scenery.

The location is what will bring us back. We felt welcome, loved our room, and really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts. Next time, hopefully we’ll try kiteboarding. We’d definitely recommend staying here.
