Gästehaus Bremer

We had a great time here, and the price was excellent for what we got. My dog and I stayed for two days, and the location worked perfectly for us. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, through Wernerwald forest or Duhner Heide. We spent plenty of time at the dog beach, in the woods, and on the mudflats. Along the promenade there are bakeries, cafés, restaurants, and a few little shops. We also spotted a climbing park and a forest swimming pool for kids. The Bremers made us feel very welcome. Hospitality clearly matters to them. Our apartment was small but practical, with thoughtful details and a bit of character. The outdoor area was just as inviting, with beach chairs and lots of nice touches, and there’s a garden guests can use. One extra place to check out is Watt'n Schaf, a little shop with lovely sheepskins. We’d happily come back.

The only thing that felt a bit expensive was the linen and towel package, at €15 per person. Otherwise, the place is beautifully furnished with care and has everything you need. We got a very friendly welcome from the accommodating family who run it. The location is excellent, with good bus connections to the town centers of Duhnen and Cuxhaven. I'd gladly stay again and recommend it. :)

The guesthouse is right in the center, and the owners are lovely and helpful. I stayed in the single room, which had everything I needed. The toilet is currently in the hallway, though they’re supposed to change that. It was very clean. Dogs even get a treat and a toy when they arrive, and everyone can use the garden. It was a little noisy, but that didn’t bother me. I’ll definitely be back.

The staff were friendly, which earned the place an extra star from me, but the furnishings and tiny bathroom weren’t great. The shower is especially cramped and uncomfortable if you’re tall. The apartment itself was clean when we arrived, with a nice little kitchen, a large living room, and a triple room, though its bedroom felt too small. It’s roughly a 10-minute walk to the beach and 20 minutes to Werner Forest. We had to do all the cleaning ourselves, and towels and bed linen cost extra, so a 10:00 AM checkout feels very early when we’ve already done the cleaning.
