Nassauer Hof Hotel & Weinwirtschaft

The room was comfortable and clean, and the wall decor gave us a sense of the town and its surroundings. We enjoyed the friendly staff, meals from the menu, and several local wines. The river and ferry are an easy walk away, with the information place farther up the street. We hope to return.

Dinner and breakfast were both great, with good cooking at affordable prices. We only spent one night, but the staff were friendly, the room was nice, and the first impression was very good. The station, river, and scenic viewpoints are close, and it's easy to arrive by car, with plenty of ferries nearby. The trains can sound as if they're passing through the hallway because the railway is so close. We got used to it, and it's an issue for the other hotels around here too, so it's not the hotel's fault. We'd happily stay at this lovely hotel again.

We picked this hotel for its easy access to the Rheinsteig and stayed over Easter. The station, boat trips, and ferry are only about a three-minute walk away. The staff were helpful and very friendly, and our room was clean and a good size. We had three tasty dinners, while breakfast was simple but just right. The railway runs directly behind the hotel, as it does for many places in the Rhein valley. Even so, we slept well for all three nights, perhaps helped by the daily hikes, generous evening meals, and Ruedesheimer Kaffee for dessert.
