If you’re looking to stay a little outside Sassnitz, this is a nice hotel near Mukran. My room was clean and pleasant, and the bathroom was in good shape. The food and beer were lovely too. Across the road, there’s a bakery where you can have coffee or a meal while looking out at the harbor.

A lovely lady greeted us and handed over the keys, so we felt welcome right away. The room was clean, basic, and really nice. There’s a small table outside where you can sit in the evening. I’d gladly stay another night and come back.

There was no hot water when I arrived at the motel late at night, after a long drive. The room was cold, so I’d hoped to take a hot shower and then get some sleep before work the next morning. The water ran, but stayed cold. When I opened the first locker, I found the boiler wasn’t even plugged in. I was very angry at having to wait for it to heat up, especially since I had to get up early and didn’t have time to lose sleep. The reception was closed when I arrived, but a decent woman in the restaurant helped me and gave me a room card. When that card wouldn’t open the room, she gave me another one. So there were some helpful moments, but I’d booked a room to rest and expected it to be ready, not to have to switch on the boiler and wait for hot water.

We’d stayed at this hotel before, and stopped by for a few drinks on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We wanted to sit outside, so we asked the lady if there was a table and chairs for our group. She replied, “Do you see any?” There were umbrella bases fixed to the terraces, which made it look like there were designated seating areas. The beer was okay and reasonably priced, but the customer service felt lacking.
