The garden between the two buildings is beautifully landscaped, with a lovely terrace and inviting loungers. It’s an easy walk to the promenade, and the hostess gives you such a warm welcome. Breakfast is generous, too, and the value for money is excellent. For a short Baltic Sea weekend, it’s ideal. And be sure to book a relaxing massage, it’s pure relaxation.

The egg dishes were freshly made each morning, which was a real plus, though the breakfast buffet’s selection was rather limited and its cleanliness wasn’t great, especially given the COVID-19 rules in place. The room had no blackout blinds, so sunlight came in after 6 a.m., and sound carried so much that we could hear other guests showering. There was no privacy on the terrace either, since three rooms shared it. We stayed four nights with my partner. On arrival, the room looked only superficially cleaned, with cobwebs in almost every corner and spiders. That’s completely unacceptable. The bathroom cleanliness was questionable as well, there was barely anywhere to put things, and the shower curtain seemed unhygienic and didn’t stop water flooding the room. Our minibar was broken, a shame with temperatures outside at 30°C. We were allowed to use one in an empty room for the whole stay, which was fine, and got €10 back as compensation.

We didn’t feel the price matched what we got. The minibar prices could use a rethink, and the 800m to the beach was apparently measured as the crow flies, something that wasn’t mentioned. Our “deluxe” room had the advertised amenities, such as the sauna, in some form, but still seemed quite overpriced. The bed linen had holes and stains, and at €178 a night we didn’t even have a balcony. We stayed in September and weren’t very satisfied.

The breakfast was superb, including freshly prepared egg dishes. The owner personally gives every guest a warm welcome, and this is a lovely hotel that I’d recommend even without a restaurant. We were here for a family trip to Hansa Park and stayed two nights. Sadly, we didn’t get to enjoy the spa area, but hopefully next time! 😏
