Hotel Post

We've stayed here three times now, and the welcome from the Holzhauer family is always warm. This family-run hotel is central, very clean throughout, and nicely furnished. The rooms are modern and charming, reached by elevator, and the whole place is wheelchair accessible. The bathroom is especially spacious and works very well for wheelchair users. Breakfast is hard to beat: regional food, lots of bread and rolls, cold cuts, cheeses, juices, tea, muesli, yogurt, specialty coffees, and freshly cooked scrambled or fried eggs with sausage and bacon. The owner makes a large range of jams herself, and gluten-free items are available if requested. People who aren't staying at the hotel can come for breakfast too, and coffee and cake are served in the afternoon. The Höhenweg, a lovely circular walking trail with great views, is an easy walk from the hotel and well worth doing in the morning. There are plenty of excursion brochures, some discounted with the Allgäu Walser Card, and the Holzhauer family are happy to answer questions and share useful tips. On a clear day, don't miss the Skywalk in Scheidegg. The hotel has an electric vehicle charging point, wheelchair parking spaces, and parking. The staff are attentive, warm, and helpful, and guests leave with a jar of homemade jam. We highly recommend this accessible, technologically advanced hotel and will definitely return.

The hosts were very welcoming, and the hotel has been renovated nicely. Breakfast was good and generous, and there's an electric vehicle charging point right at the hotel. We'd gladly stay again. One downside is that it's right on the main road. If your room faces the street, don't open the windows at night.

We felt so at home in this lovely hotel that we extended our week-long stay twice. After COVID-19, I developed gluten and histamine intolerance, and the owner was very helpful. She talked through which rolls I could tolerate and had them baked fresh for me each morning. Our room was large, with a comfortably sized bed, a spacious bathroom, and a fantastic shower. Everything was spotless. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the whole place felt bright and pleasant. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

We only managed two nights because we didn't have more time, and we really wished we could have stayed longer. The hosts were attentive and very friendly, the rooms were in excellent condition, and breakfast was superb. There's also a good place for dinner within an easy walk.
