Spreewaldresort Seinerzeit

It's a beautiful, peaceful place. Definitely worth trying.

We stayed just one night, and it was lovely. The room was new, clean, and compact but laid out well. The staff were kind and attentive to us and our child. We ate at the brewery, where the service was a little slow but the staff were nice, and both the food and beer were very good. We'll be back 🙂

The view from our window was the one real bright spot. The rooms were average, the beds uncomfortable, and we could hear a neighbour's TV as well as people banging around the property at night. For the price of a suite, it didn't feel like good value. Breakfast was a letdown too. We were asked to book a 10 o'clock slot, which was fair enough during corona, but then we stood awkwardly by the door and were told to find a table. Someone else's coffee pot was left for us, and there was no food left. It didn't feel like a 4 star experience. The young woman at the desk was friendly and helpful, but I still wouldn't return. The brewery restaurant is the only food option, since they hire out the fine dining restaurant for weddings. This is a massive wedding hotel. The brewery food was pretty bad, service was worse, and their own beer was alright. People weren't particularly friendly overall.

The waiter Hashem deserves a special mention for great service and a great attitude. The rooms were spacious and well maintained, in a standard style, and had mosquito nets on the windows, which you need with so many mosquitoes around. It's a beautiful place in the middle of Spreewald, with greenery and water all around, and a garden too. I'd come back.
