The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the apartment was clean and fresh. It was very nice and well equipped.

The road noise was the worst part for me. Starting around 5 a.m., cars and plenty of trucks pass constantly, and it’s still extremely loud with the window shut. You need some fresh air, though, so you end up having to live with it. Room 1 also has no table or chair, which feels very odd when there’s clearly room for a small table and a chair by the bed. You have to call the landlord to turn on the heating, and even after that the bathroom stayed cold because its radiators are electronically controlled. The photos show the cleanliness.

We found the owners friendly and ready to help if anything came up. The rooms that face the street can be noisy, especially in summer if you sleep with the window open. The place is a charming old building, with renovated rooms and shared spaces, plus a little terrace where you can relax. It worked well for our long weekend, and the location is central. Haithabu Museum and the city center are roughly a 15-minute bike ride away.

We found it handy for trips in every direction: the Schlei fjord, town center, castle, and Holm are all just a short drive away. Parking is right at the house, and the well-insulated windows help keep things quiet. Inside, everything looks new, and the rooms are carefully furnished, neat, and spotless. There’s a good-sized shared kitchen with a fully equipped kitchenette, including a microwave, stove, dishwasher, and dishes, as well as a pleasant dining area. It opens onto a small terrace. This would work for a longer stay too.
