Hotel Strandleben

The restaurant serves delicious food, with a good choice of seafood and vegan or vegetarian options, gorgeous desserts and fantastic wines. The hotel itself is lovely and quiet, set in absolutely beautiful surroundings. The rooms are bright, comfortable and tastefully decorated.

The soups were both medium-sized and good value for their price. The green asparagus soup was creamy and well seasoned, while the fish and seafood soup with vegetables had great flavour and delicate seasoning. The restaurant is in a small boutique hotel right on the waterfront, with a lovely garden and outdoor seating. The interior design creates a nice, exclusive atmosphere. The guinea fowl came on round pasta with grilled zucchini and cherry tomatoes. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the bird was tender and interesting, with everything well seasoned. It was a medium-sized portion, but overpriced, so only medium value for money. The pork schnitzel was well prepared, with the coating properly attached, and was a nice portion for good value. Service was okay.

The food quality was well above what we expected. Starters, mains, wines and dessert were all delicious. The staff were pleasant and professional, and the view of the sea from our room was amazing.

Breakfast was great, with everything ready when we needed it, and the restaurant served good, tasty dishes. We spent three days at Strandleben, a lovely little hotel right by the waterfront. The room was even better than expected, very neat and well maintained, and we loved it. Staff were friendly, smiling and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more. We highly recommend Strandleben for a stay in Sleswig, and the five stars are well deserved. Birgitta and Flemming / Denmark 🇩🇰
