The local farmer's vending machine was a handy find, with bratwurst and plenty of other things, so even forgotten sausages weren't a problem once we lit the grill. Restaurants are right next door, too. We had everything we could need aboard, and the sauna should be a real treat in winter. This is a proper boat, a houseboat, and a much better choice for a boat holiday than the purpose-built houseboats in the harbor. Fantastic, simply fantastic. I'm sure we'll be back.

We found parking surprisingly easy, and the nearby fish and burger stalls were both convenient and tasty. Our boat was wonderfully furnished and decorated with care, and we used its sauna every day. The views were fantastic in every direction. It was a special trip, just as we'd planned, and the boat was very comfortable.

The Cecilie was clean, but it felt neglected, especially for the price. Hinges on furniture were broken, railing posts were loose, the shower door leaked, and a smoke detector was missing. I would not stay aboard with children under 12 because there are too many possible hazards. The owner didn't seem to be on site, and check-in felt anonymous. There wasn't enough hanging space in the bathroom, like elsewhere on the ship. For six people, four of us had no towels. None of the bicycles worked, and they were taken away during our stay without replacements. The shower pressure was poor, and there was no dishwasher. More than half the furnishings were from that four-letter Swedish furniture manufacturer. The TV only got DVB-T2, with no private channels, so you'd better have planned ahead or not need a TV. This is far from a high standard, and simply too expensive for what you get.

The owners are so welcoming, and the centrally located houseboat is furnished with care. We had everything we needed, and it was a lovely place to switch off and relax. Absolutely wonderful again. Until next time!

The terrace and sauna were perfect for relaxing. Everything was very clean and we had what we needed. We'll come back.
