St. Leonhard am See

I'd happily rent this place again. One thing to know before you go: there's no check-in desk at the Kuh am See. You need to check in at a different hotel, so read the instructions in your reservation. The apartment has all the usual amenities, free Wi-Fi, and pets are allowed, but there is no safe. I included a video and list of the items in the apartment so you can see what you don't need to bring. The floor was dirty, so if you're travelling with children you may want to check it. Apart from that, cleanliness wasn't an issue. The apartments are just through a gate from the path around the lake. Before the gate there's plenty of room to lie on the grass, on a free bed, or on a mat in the sun. The waterfront is only 20 metres away. In about 10 minutes on foot, you can reach a private, family-friendly lakeside spot with a water trampoline, swimming area, playground, restaurant, bar, and tanning beds. Entry costs 10 Euro per person. I'd recommend it. Bring food, water, towels, a mat, and umbrellas. There are several other restaurants nearby. The pizzeria at the junction with the main road is particularly good, serves breakfast, and has prices that are average for the area. The lake and surrounding area are idyllic if you're after peace, beautiful scenery, and friendly people. Pets aren't allowed in the lake. Kuh am See isn't wheelchair accessible in all areas, so it won't work well if you have mobility issues. There are other accessible places to stay nearby, though, so don't rule out the lake altogether. Check the short videos and photos for more details. Enjoy!
