We mostly had the pool to ourselves, and the water was really clean and just the right temperature. The apartment had all we needed and a nice balcony, while the surrounding area was great for walks. A few fly screens on the windows would be helpful. Schluchsee and the nearby area make a simple, pleasant place to spend a week as a family: there are a couple of good bakeries for breakfast and an easy boat trip across the lake. Some smaller villages may have better hiking and a more traditional feel, but they’re less convenient with little kids like ours.

The staff were a big help, and the location couldn’t be much better. It’s modern, clean, and convenient, with more than enough comfort even if it isn’t especially luxurious. The internet is slow, sure, but maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

It’s a peaceful place to stay. One drawback is that there’s no cafe, and food is only available to Hotel residents.

The room and location were both lovely, and the pool, sauna, and fitness room were welcome extras. For the quality, the price felt reasonable.

We liked the atmosphere around the pool and sauna, and both were good quality. The apartments are nice too, with terraces and a decent standard.
