Only four stars because the room was really cold, even with the heaters turned all the way up. Bring an extra blanket :)

The overnight stay was great and breakfast was very tasty. Parking right by the hotel is tight, but there's plenty of space a few hundred metres away. Getting there from the A9 is less convenient, with about a 5 km drive from the highway.

We got in touch at the last minute, but the owner responded quickly and was very cooperative. The food was fresh and really tasty, and the service was fast, friendly and consistent. Everything we asked for and expected was taken care of. We'd be happy to stop by again when we get the chance.

We ended up canceling and driving on. The place seemed dark and shut when we arrived, and the restaurant was closed with no other nearby options. There was a misunderstanding about the room: it was smaller than described and didn’t match the photo on hotels.com. We were told, “this is the only type er have.” The bed linen was worn and had holes.

It’s a basic room, and the village scenery is lovely. The local beer and traditional food were good. This is a quiet spot for anyone who doesn’t need to be near an urban area, with good opportunities to exercise if you bring a bike or running shoes. My phone connection was hopeless, though, and I couldn’t connect to a network. The free internet was basically useless because it was so slow.
