The restaurant's setting is spectacular, and the terrace has a wonderful view. We've been regulars at Mauthäusl for many years. Service is still kind and professional, but the food's quality and taste aren't what they were a few years ago. The menu has become much shorter, with fewer choices. Our Bavarian schnitzel and turkey burger were decent, though the burger had three sharp pieces of bone in the meat, which left a bad impression.

I think you can enjoy the greenery here without needing much internet, though the hotel's connection isn't good enough for health purposes. The breakfast was great, with a wide selection and very homemade-tasting food, and the staff were friendly. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. The wellness area is limited because of the corona crisis, which is a shame.

The apple strudel was a dream! We also loved the traditional architecture, decorations, flowers, and location. The team was very helpful, and the food was delicious.

We stayed in Apt 2 from July 16 to 18, and everything else was good. Breakfast was good, there were enough parking spaces for guests, and reception was very helpful. The downside was that there was no Wi-Fi signal in Apt 1 or 2.
