At €200 per person per day, it costs far too much, and the service is just as bad. For the main course, they serve you about a quarter of a proper person's portion. The walls are so thin that you can clearly hear the neighbors' TV and people laughing downstairs. The sauna is okay, but you can get much better for less in your area. The location is so remote that getting there means spending €100 or two on a taxi. I wouldn't recommend it.

If you're after a quiet, authentic German inn away from the crowded tourist spots, Hotel Krummbachtal is a lovely place for a relaxing vacation. The Rhon region has plenty of hiking and biking trails in the surrounding hills, along with authentic small Huttes (restaurant's) and interesting attractions. World heritage towns such as Bad Kissingen and Wurzburg are only a short drive away. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, with excellent food and service. Manager Melanie and the staff made us feel at home and took care of everything we needed.

The lobby was nice, and the location was good. It felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel. Breakfast didn't have much variety, and the rooms were just so-so. We arrived at 11pm and had trouble getting hold of anyone.

The stream behind the hotel gives a fantastic view, and being a little outside town makes it pleasantly quiet. I'm here for a two-week work trip and feel incredibly comfortable. The reception staff are absolutely lovely, and the kitchen deserves a big shout-out for preparing a thoughtful packed lunch since I have to work before breakfast. My room is spacious and cozy. I'd definitely book here again.
