The room was clean and nice, with afternoon sun on the balcony, and the pork schnitzel I had for dinner was very good. The restaurant has a brilliant menu with a diverse selection of food and wines. Check-in and the welcome from Elmer were efficient and lovely, and he went above and beyond to look after us. Nickisch Hotel and restaurant is a third-generation family-run place in Schüttorf, just off the 30 Autobahn and near the Netherlands border. Thoroughly recommend it for a stopover.

The food was very tasty, the rooms were beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience. The city has unique architecture and is definitely worth a visit. One note to the staff: sorry about the yogurt I left at reception, it had spilled in my bag 😁

The hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful when our car broke down and we needed a last-minute room for our family, including two small kids. They arranged a room with two baby beds and other amenities so we’d be as comfortable as possible. The next day, they were still lovely with the kids and helped us get everything sorted. They turned a bad situation into a good experience. Can recommend!

A colleague recommended this place when I needed somewhere to stay in the area for a business trip. I’m glad we went with it. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were great. There wasn’t a familiar national brand around, but this place was perfect. Highly recommend, and we’ll be back.
