Restaurant & Hotel Der Schwan

Our whole group tried a few dishes, and we were amazed by how good the food was. The kitchen is a real highlight, far better than we expected. The hotel itself is cozy and charming, set in an old German building with an authentic atmosphere. Strongly recommended.

We spent five nights here and found it a great base for exploring Bavaria, with Nuremberg just 30 minutes away. The hotel is full of charm and character, and the room was beautifully presented in a style that suited the building's history. Its modern ensuite bathroom was well equipped and had excellent lighting. Staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive without hovering. We also enjoyed the bright beer garden and its lovely atmosphere, whether for a drink or a meal. The restaurant food was excellent and beautifully presented. Highly recommend.

So much history and character here, especially in the beer garden with its ivy covered walls and cobblestone paving. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and full of character too. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and the food was fantastic. I'd recommend the peanut ice cream or waffles for dessert. A great choice if you want something more authentic than a typical chain hotel.

We spent three nights at this beautiful historic hotel and enjoyed every bit of the stay. The staff were so helpful, and they had the room ready with a baby cot and blanket for our baby. Our baby usually wakes often during the night, but here only woke once for milk. The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were super comfortable. Every meal was five star. I found it hard to choose something new because I loved the previous meal, but I tried a different dish each day and was never disappointed. We'll definitely return.
