The host was friendly and helpful, the kitchens had everything we needed, and both the rooms and bathrooms were clean. We also really liked the outdoor spaces for eating or relaxing. I stayed just under a week, and the place suited me perfectly. There’s no Wi-Fi, but my phone had a strong 5G signal throughout, so streaming and calling home were easy. Getting into Kiel often isn’t ideal: the bus costs €6 each way, and depending on the station, it’s another 12-25 minute bike ride. The nearest supermarket and the beach are each around 12 minutes away by bike. If you’re not going into the city all the time, though, it makes a lovely little getaway. It’s a very nice place for the price, and bike use is free. I’d recommend it! 😊

Silke is a wonderful hostess, and the hostel is lovely. There’s no Wi-Fi and public transport isn’t very convenient, but the beach is close and there are plenty of bikes to borrow. The nearby sea and forest trails are beautiful. The supermarket is 3 km away, though you can pick up beers, snacks, and a few basics at the hostel. The rooms are nice and the mattresses comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, with complimentary tea and coffee, and there are lots of indoor and outdoor spots to hang out, play board games, or read. You can also arrange to wash clothes. The atmosphere, price, and location are all great. I can absolutely recommend it.

Silke was a wonderful host, and the hostel was clean with good mattresses. It’s surrounded by nature, and a ten-minute bike ride takes you to a quiet beach area with water sports and a few restaurants. I’d definitely recommend staying here for a laid-back, relaxing holiday.

A small, clean and peaceful hostel in lovely rolling countryside, about a 15-minute walk from the Baltic Sea and its beaches. You can hire bikes there too. No Wi-Fi, otherwise it would be five stars.
