The staff were lovely and the restaurant was great, but the pool and the sauna and massage room, which basically didn’t exist, were awful. My room was tiny, and I had to sleep on a rock-hard pull-out bed. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I went for a wedding, and it was such a romantic place. It also makes a lovely base for exploring the Allgäu. There’s an award-winning Bergkäse shop on the corner. Highly recommend.

A great family hotel.

The food was so good, better than we’ve eaten in a long time, and the staff were warm and did their best to make every wish come true. We stayed a few nights at the Alpenhotel with our young son, and it was simply a dream. We’d definitely book again.
