Am Obersee Hotel

A clean room, kind staff, and a very good breakfast, including a takeaway lunch. It’s a basic but good hotel, with good value for the price. The shower is the one downside: it’s in the room and isn’t that great. Still, it’s a good choice for a night or two or for walking the wilderness trail.

We had a bright, clean balcony room with its own bathroom, and the owners were flexible about our late arrival. The location in Einruhr is hard to beat, and there’s a bike storage room too, which came in handy. It’s a very nice little “hotel.” I’d recommend it and would stay again if I’m in the area.

The room was clean, but that’s the only good thing I can say about this place. I’ve never had a worse hotel experience or met a ruder host or manager. He seemed annoyed whenever I asked a question and was unpleasant the rest of the time. He came across as someone who hates his job and the world.

I ordered a berry toast, then noticed the bread was so old it had mold and fungi on it. When I showed them, they got angry and said they couldn’t see anything. No apology, just anger. The owners were super rude, with not a single sign of hospitality.
