Hotel im Fachwerkhof

The hosts were very friendly, and we had a nice one-night stay. Breakfast was really good, with quality products. Our room had a lovely lake view, and the shower had very good water pressure. The building is old and a bit dated, but fine for a night or two. The strong smell of smoke when you come in was a minus.

Breakfast is included, with plenty of choices. The hotel was very clean and tidy, and the owners are lovely and friendly.

Marcel & Henri are two great guys, and we enjoyed talking with them. Reception was very friendly, and we could park our motorcycles on the private property. The rooms were clean, service was great, and breakfast was excellent, with extras like fleisch and pasta salade, meatballs, and a freshly baked egg for everyone. The terrace prices are good, the glasses are clean, and the beers are nice. Just be ready to wake up at 07.00 to the church bells, the whole town is awake then. :-) They don’t serve lunch or dinner, but the best restaurant is 20m further. A great base for walking, biking, or motorcycling. Thanks, Marcel & Henri.

We only needed a room for one night after the hotel we’d first booked turned us away because of the flood damage in the region. We were lucky to find the Garni hotel so quickly. The Dutch hosts were extremely friendly, and its location was even prettier than the place we’d originally booked. It was also close to the National Park area we’d picked for astrophotography that night. Our room was surprisingly clean and modern, and the shower was very clean and better than expected for a hotel at this price. The hosts suggested somewhere for dinner. We didn’t have time to order drinks at the Garni hotel, though the terrace looked like a nice place to sit. At breakfast the next morning, they’d already set a table for us, and the food was nice. The hosts were super kind again. The rooms are great value, and the hosts are extremely helpful and kind. I’d recommend staying here for hikes nearby or astrophotography in the Dark Sky park. We’ll definitely return.
