SOON appartements

We were in town for a wine festival, and they moved us to a room farther from the street so the noisy party wouldn't disturb us. They stayed in touch while we were at the airport and helped us reach our room without any trouble. We were so glad they looked after our vacation during our five-day stay. Our apartment was clean, everything in it was new, and the design was excellent. The rooftop terrace is a really romantic spot. Simmern is a wonderful city, with a great indoor and outdoor pool where we spent two days. There's free covered parking, and the locals are very friendly.

The beds were comfortable, and the hosts were friendly. The accommodation was clean and practical, with a refrigerator and all the dishes we needed. But Simmern's center is rather dreary, with many derelict shops and empty streets. On weekends the bar across the street gets loud, with music and shouting until 3 a.m. In some apartments, getting a restful night's sleep is impossible.

We'd stayed here once before, and coming back to this beautiful house was just as lovely. The furnishings are practical, with care given to the architectural details.

The hostess spoke Russian and helped us sort out the car rental and other questions. There's an Italian wine shop nearby, too. When we were running late on arrival day and couldn't rent a car, she explained how to get there by bus. She'd already emailed after we booked to say everything was set and they were expecting us. They also upgraded us to a more expensive room at no extra charge, which we're especially grateful for. Thank you very much!
