Hotel Berlin

We found a clean older room in a somewhat outdated hotel, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, and our motorbikes were safely parked in the garage. A good place to stop for the night while travelling.

The indoor pool looked good, but it was closed for maintenance. Rooms also get very hot in summer because there’s little cross ventilation, and the air conditioning is basically just a heater. There’s no electric kettle for making coffee either. Otherwise, it’s a typical three-star hotel with okay rooms and a simple buffet breakfast. Fine for a day or two if the nearby hotels are fully booked.

The room was much hotter than I could tolerate, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. The internet kept cutting in and out, dust was visible on the furniture, and there were no basic room extras like a kettle, coffee, tea, or fridge. The lift wasn’t working and the pool was closed. The room looked nothing like the photos in the advertisement, and the price was outrageous for what we got. There was also a shelf around the bed that could cause a dangerous head injury. That should be reported to the Safety Board.

I was here on a business trip. The rooms were large and clean, with shower accessories provided, and each room had a balcony. Breakfast was great. The downsides were poor sound insulation and a dinner menu that could use more choices.
