The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the showers stay clean with lots of hot water. I especially liked the heated towel rack. Breakfast costs extra; the selection was fine, though nothing special. There’s a strong smell throughout the hallways and stairwells, but I never noticed it in the rooms. I suspect dried-out or failed sewer traps might be letting odors up from the main sewer line. Staff were scarce and often unavailable.

The smell in the stairwells was dreadful, and the whole stay was bad from check-in through checkout. I can’t understand how this place is rated three stars, and I can’t think of a single positive thing to say. I’m not even sure it deserves one star; that feels like too much.

The rooms were always clean, quiet, and nice, and there was a nice kitchen too. The owner was absolutely lovely and friendly. One of my favorite places to stay.

This feels more like a hostel than a hotel. If you expect a nasty smell in the hallway, a shower curtain, and a wardrobe with just one hanger, you won’t be disappointed.

Nothing fancy, just a simple, good hotel that was quiet and clean.
