Hotel Restaurant Berghof

There was hardly anyone at reception most of the time, and the place didn’t feel safe. Our room smelled bad, with mold all around the toilet. The woman at reception was extremely rude and tried to keep our 50€ deposit, claiming we hadn’t washed the dishes in the kitchen. That was completely untrue. Absolutely disgusting, I do not recommend this place!

The room was okay for a few days, but on the first morning, at 4 am, a group of guys were yelling, banging like crazy, and trying to push our door. We reported it right away, but nothing happened to the group. We were just told not to talk to them or accept drinks from them. We never did, and even if we had, that wouldn’t excuse their behavior. We couldn’t cook because the kitchen was dirty, with food everywhere. On checkout day, the woman was very rude, didn’t even say goodbye, and counted the cutlery and plates.

The place is in a very quiet area with houses all around, which may suit you if that’s what you want. There was no cleanliness, though, and the service was the worst part. They held on to the deposit and came knocking at your door on the last day to look for damage. They even expect you to take the sheets off yourself, which isn’t normal in a hotel.

During my four days there, nothing was cleaned, and they didn’t provide soap, bed sheets, towels, or toilet paper. The place was dirty and smelled bad. Spiders and cockroaches seemed to be permanent guests, too. I strongly suggest booking somewhere else for your time in lovely Hahn Town.
