The animals seemed to be doing well, and the owner was friendly and reasonably helpful. We also managed to agree on a decent solution for leaving after just two nights. But the farm was a poor fit for us, especially with children, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone hoping for a relaxing stay. The advertised holiday farm looked more like a construction yard than a working farm. The grounds were neglected, the barbecue area was rotting, the playground seemed unsafe, and sharp metal was scattered around. The owner said you could call ahead to learn it wasn’t suitable for small children. When we raised concerns, they were brushed aside with comments that this wasn’t a luxury hotel and that the owners ran the farm themselves, so guests shouldn’t expect more than what was there. Yet a week cost as much as a luxury hotel, and absolutely everything came with an extra charge. The apartment was old-fashioned but clean. Ours was very noisy and right beside a main road, with only a regular interior door separating it from the neighboring apartment. There were no insect screens, despite the cattle and pigs, and we had nearly 30-40 flies in each room on the first evening. The owner suggested buying flypaper and hanging it up. There was little or nothing for children to do on the farm, and finding other activities in town or nearby wasn’t easy.

The apartment was roomy and had a comfortable, slightly rustic farmhouse feel, with everything we needed. We spent a week here as a family and absolutely loved the farm. The animals are cared for with love and have a wonderful life, and the farm staff were very friendly. We’ll definitely come back. Thanks to the Schuch family!

The farmers are lovely, and the animals were wonderful. The kids had a good time, but there was so much junk around the farm that we had to keep a very close eye on small children. It wasn’t a relaxing holiday for us adults. As for the "Remo" apartment, I wouldn’t book it again. The kitchen and bathroom still have their original 70s fittings, some wallpaper is peeling and water-stained, there’s too little crockery and cutlery, and there are no dessert bowls. The kitchen lighting is awful, and the whole place feels badly neglected. The other apartments do seem to have been renovated.

The surroundings felt bleak and didn’t seem suited to families with children. Everything was charged separately, even renting a helmet, and the prices felt like a complete rip-off. The holiday farm was run-down, with an ancient vacation apartment and neglected grounds. I can’t recommend it at all.

We had already paid for the whole stay when illness forced us to cancel, two weeks before the trip. The landlord offered no compensation at all, and didn’t refund even the charges for services we hadn’t used, such as bed linens, towels, and utilities. That’s no way to treat guests. Not recommended.
