JustStay Solingen Hotel & Apartments

The room was clean and really nice, and I liked the concept. Breakfast was good and Wi-Fi was free. The only thing for me was that the pillows weren't very comfortable. Parking was a bit limited, but I had a very nice stay.

The Deluxe Junior Suite worked out pretty well for the three of us, and for the price I'd choose this accommodation again. We'd booked through Booking.com expecting one single bed and one double, but the single turned out to be a sofa bed. It was still comfortable. Everything was clean, though the bathroom was really small. The breakfast boxes were great and had everything we needed. We also got "coins" for coffee from the lobby machine. It sells sweets and drinks too, even beer, though you need an EU ID for the machine to check. JustStay is a little outside the city center, but fine by car. If you're hungry, there's a pizzeria a few meters away, and the pizza was quite tasty.

We liked the room overall. It was stylish and minimalist, and had been cleaned perfectly. But the three of us were in room 7, which had only been set up for two, with two towel sets and two drink chips. I got the guest sofa, but it really wasn't made for sleeping. At best it's comfortable to sit on, since its parts make it hard to find a comfortable position. The shower drain was blocked, so we kept having to stop the water before it spread beyond the sink. In the morning there was no hot water, so we had to take an icy, refreshing shower.

The code entry, parking and small gym worked well for me, and the location was perfect since I needed to be near the hospital. The bed edges were dirty, though.
