The town center is an easy walk from here, and the setup matched what was described. Motorhomes can pick their own spot at no charge. Just be aware there’s nowhere to get water or dispose of waste.

There aren’t any toilets here. It’s a big parking lot that also serves as a place for campervans to park.

It’s right beside the thermal baths, with the city center only a short walk away. The spot also works well as a starting point for a bike ride. Parking is mostly level, and some spaces sit under tall trees. On weekdays, the nearby school makes it noisier.

The signs are really poor, and finding the parking area is especially hard after dark. This badly needs to be improved.

Right beside the forest, it’s quiet overnight and almost idyllic early in the morning. The area is kept up well, and they even empty the bins on Sundays. As campervan travelers, we appreciate having this free place to stay, and we’re happy to spend money at the thermal baths, local cafés, and restaurants. Thanks to the municipality of Soltau!
