It’s a basic hotel with a small restaurant, suited to a short stay.

We went for lunch on Boxing Day, two of us, and luckily had booked a table because the restaurant was already busy. The servers sometimes took quite a while, and I started worrying that our dessert order had gone missing. They apologized as we left. From what I could see, only three people were serving, and they were doing their best. I understand the situation and have a lot of respect for anyone working on Christmas Day, so I’m happy to overlook the wait. All in all, I’d strongly recommend it, and we’ll gladly return for the delicious food. I especially love that a traditional place in this area offers vegan takes on familiar regional dishes. We tried the roulade and tempeh roast with Thuringian dumplings and were delighted. The ice cream sundaes were just as impressive, and there was a vegan version too. Everything was top-notch!

The room works well for groups, and it’s easy to talk. Service was very attentive, and it’s a good choice for a meat-free meal. We went in December for the evening buffet, with salads, main dishes, and desserts. Everything was vegan and regularly topped up, though a bit pricey. I’d have liked a few more choices, maybe vegan sausage or mushroom ragout.

We had a lovely time chatting, and the atmosphere was really pleasant. The food was delicious, with friendly, attentive service. I wasn’t staying at the hotel, so I can’t say anything about the rooms. Five stars, definitely. It’s wonderful that you’re here with your vegan options. We’d love to come back.
