After a long drive, I called in the morning to ask if a room was free. The woman said there was no availability, in a rather unfriendly and rushed way. When I asked in English, since German isn’t my first language, she apparently didn’t speak it. But afterward I checked two online booking sites, and both showed rooms available. I’d first sent a room request through the hotel’s website form two days before our trip and never got a reply.

I only came for the food, so I can’t comment on the rooms. I started with a small salad that isn’t pictured, then chose the ribeye from the seasonal menu. It was cooked perfectly medium-rare, though they can adjust it to your liking. The server checked in on me several times, the portion was a good size, and I was quite satisfied. I finished with a Prinz Alte Williams Christbirne schnapps, which was a real treat. Highly recommend it. 💯
