A great guesthouse.

It's easy to get around the city on foot from this guesthouse, which is right in the center. There are reserved parking spaces, so finding a spot isn't a hassle. The furnishings aren't luxurious, but the place is functional, and the breakfast is good, just what you'd expect at a guesthouse. We always enjoy staying here. The staff are very friendly, and getting the keys is easy and flexible.

Apartment 2, in the guesthouse annex, was very clean, with soft fluffy towels, comfy beds, and, most importantly, good heating. The breakfast buffet had fresh rolls and something for everyone, and the friendly staff member kept topping it up. She also gave us tips for our trip to Bad Tabarz on the Thuringian Forest Railway, which we highly recommend. We felt at home and would like to visit Gotha again when it's warmer. We came for a short break and to explore Gotha, and this guesthouse was a great choice: central and with parking. The website has excellent directions, including speed camera information, and notes about the steps and thresholds due to construction. They really have thought of everything. Thank you.

The guesthouse is very well located. The town, the three markets, and Friedenstein Castle are all just a few minutes away on foot, and they're well worth seeing. It's very well run, with spacious rooms and bathrooms, excellent breakfast, and great coffee. One thing to know: there's no elevator, so it won't work for anyone with severe mobility limitations.
