Haus Undine

You can walk to the beach in just a few minutes from this central place. It’s a little older, but has everything you might need, including a Senseo or filter coffee machine, oven, and dishwasher. Cleanliness, location, and amenities would get five stars from me. I took one off because there’s no elevator, so we had to leave our stroller in the car when we weren’t using it.

I’ve been spending holidays here for over 10 years and still love coming back. The house has that familiar Baltic Sea style, and the value for money is excellent. It’s close to the beach and right in the center, with a bakery, pharmacy, and doctor in the building. The bread delivery from the bakery is fantastic, and the wine bar downstairs is a lovely place for a nightcap. Their tarte flambée is great, and fish restaurants are across the street. The apartments are spacious, clean, and well kept, and the kitchens are modern and well equipped. The staff are friendly, and they take requests seriously, so it’s best to speak with the ladies directly. I’ve never had trouble with the beds or mattresses. I’ll definitely be back.

The building is close to the beach, with a bakery, pharmacy, and doctor’s office right inside. Our top-floor apartment gets very warm even when it’s only 20° to 26°C outdoors, and the glass roof in the stairwell turns it into a sauna. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working, but I managed to fix it myself. We also got an early wake-up around 6:30 am from sidewalk renovation during our holiday.

Three lovely holidays at Haus Undine so far, and I’d like to come back next year. It’s a charming, spacious spa-style house, with shops close by and a bakery and pharmacy on site. The apartments are clean, well kept, and roomy, with modern, well equipped kitchens. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The beach is easy to get to, and in fall you can start hikes right from the house. Haus Undine also has underfloor heating for colder weather. I sometimes stopped at the wine bar below for excellent tarte flambée, or went across the street to a fish restaurant. See you next year, Undine!
