This place took me right back to childhood visits to old farmhouses with my grandparents. I love places like this, so I'm biased. The rooms feel cozy and nostalgic, and the service was personal and very friendly. It's an 1817 house, so people bothered by sounds from other rooms might not enjoy it as much. There was no breakfast because it was low season, and the location was a bit too far for my needs, with little within walking distance. Still, it was a great experience and good value.

A living museum, with a garden that's especially worth seeing. The breakfast is a must, too. First-class, incredibly friendly, and great value for money. It really doesn't get better!

The breakfast is served in the neighboring house's grand hall, with plenty of lovingly prepared regional food. The tables are laid with fine antique china and starched napkins, and the antiques around the room are lovely to look at. Service is extremely attentive. We stayed in the holiday apartment, which had a little terrace. It was tidy and comfortable, and sitting outside in the evening was really nice. The rooms are cozy and furnished in an antique style, set in a beautiful Altländer orchard. We'll definitely return, though anyone after a modern look should choose somewhere else.

The bathroom could be a little bigger. Otherwise, I like the place just as it is: the furnishings have an old-fashioned, grandparents' time feel, but the beds are modern and comfortable. There's a small TV in both bedrooms as well as one in the living room.
