The view and access to Saxony Switzerland are wonderful. The place is clean and functional, though some beds are a bit short. If you’re over 6' / 180 cm, ask for a room with long beds. One warning: there’s almost no decent food in Whelen. Bring lunch, and eat before 18:00, or you may end up hungry and thirsty.

A terrific place to stay along the Malherweg. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and breakfast was fresh with plenty of variety.

We really liked the room and the area. It was nicely furnished and well designed, and there’s an extra relaxation area in the annex. Free capsule coffee is available, along with snacks and soft drinks at reasonable prices. The market square, bakery, and ferry are about a five-minute walk away. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The only downside is that so many guests use the coffee machine in the morning that it’s constantly occupied. Thank you.

Our room and bathroom were both a nice, generous size, and they’d thought of everything. Our dog was welcome, too. Breakfast was delicious, with filter coffee and a fully automatic machine to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A super cute B&B, beautifully furnished and spotless. They’ve thought of everything, from a dog bed to a lounge with free coffee and tea, plus drinks and snacks. The breakfast was lovely, and it was a great way to finish the Painters' Way hike. Highly recommended.
