Breakfast was lovely, with local products, and we could eat out on the terrace. The service was great, too. The room was spacious, nicely finished, and had a great bed. The hotel is in a renovated old castle or manor, and the whole place looks wonderful, almost like a fairytale. There’s a little pond out front, a well kept garden, and lovely decorations inside. The attention to detail really shows. Such a hidden gem to stay at, highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed for two nights on our honeymoon and loved this hidden gem. We had breakfast on the castle terrace each morning, which was amazing. There isn’t much to do right nearby, but the countryside is beautiful. We enjoyed hiking the local trails and seeing the calcium spring. Highly recommend it for a relaxing weekend.

The wellness Centre was such a nice extra, and we loved the huge master suite. It had been renovated to a very high standard, and the mini bar was well stocked and really cheap. The breakfast room has lovely views, and the food was very good quality. It’s a very typical German breakfast, so keep that in mind. You’ll need a car since everything is a few minutes’ drive away. There’s lots to do around there, from hiking and skiing to visiting old historic towns. The castle is beautifully renovated, the countryside is lovely, and the staff are very friendly. Taking all of that together, I think this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

The location, park, and furniture throughout the castle were so beautiful that they’re a big reason I’d come back. Everything about our stay was more than wonderful. The service team was amazing, too. We forgot something in the room, and they sent it to us without any extra effort on our part, which surely isn’t something every hotel does.

Built in 1896, this hotel has been really well maintained and was a cool place to stay. The breakfast spread was the best I’ve ever seen, and the employee serving it was top notch. One evening, a siren sounded like an air raid alarm. It turned out to be an alarm at the local fire department. That was somewhat unsettling, though I was glad to have the experience. As an American tourist, I’ve never known what living in fear of an airstrike was like. Since this is former Communist occupied East Germany, I’m sure the older locals have had their share. Thanks for the great experience!
