Hotel Höllsteiner Hof

I've been here twice, and the food and service have impressed me both times. Before dinner, they brought us a small bowl of soup, which was delicious. The meat was excellent too, along with the bread and sauces. They have an English menu if you don't speak German. It was packed on a Thursday evening, so you'll definitely need a reservation.

The food alone makes this hotel a gem in a small German village. The grilled steak and burger were juicy and cooked perfectly, and all the food felt like a work of art. The hotel was spotless, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The host and staff were very friendly, and communicating in English was easy. I'd give it ten stars if I could, but five is all I can leave.

I've visited twice, and it's a great spot for a team lunch. You can watch the kitchen prepare your dish through a live camera feed, which is a nice touch. It's a super place, though having your own transport would be better.

The weak Wi-Fi was the one real downside during my stay of just over two weeks. It only worked around 30% of the time, and a stronger system would be helpful for travelers from abroad who want to stream things like Netflix, since there aren't many English language TV channels. What made the stay so good was how welcoming everyone was. Alex has created a place that works well for business trips or holidays, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. They even knew us by name, which made me feel at home. Special credit to Alex, Helga, Doris and Angelica. The rooms were quaint and very clean, a huge plus for me. There's also an excellent restaurant on site, with seating indoors where you can watch steaks being prepared on a large TV, or outside on a patio with nice views and atmosphere. The food was fantastic. Alex is also the chef, and his dishes looked exciting and tasted amazing. Hotel Hollsteiner Hof is a wonderful, quiet, clean place to stay, with a great team and restaurant. It's easily the best hotel in the area.
