Haus Leonora

We were disappointed with our stay at "Haus Leonora". The floors, windows, and refrigerator in particular didn’t seem clean. Our socks were dirty after just a few steps. Some furniture looked neglected, there were cobwebs in corners, and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was mold showing in the shower grout. The host’s response to our complaints wasn’t satisfactory. Keep these issues in mind when booking.

The apartment is basic, and the cleanliness was satisfactory. The landlord is very accommodating and looks for ways to solve problems. The service was excellent.

The stairs were quite an adventure. The silicone-bonded handrails came loose, and I was lucky to be cushioned and only fall halfway. We were grateful to find somewhere for a spring trip after the first coronavirus outbreak, since options were limited and most places were booked. Apartment 3 had a large bathroom, which worked out well for us. But the furnishings were very cheap, and our bed was broken in several places. We’d booked for three, yet there were no sheets for the sofa bed, so we had to improvise. The place felt rather dingy.

The stairs to the top-floor rooms are seriously unsafe. A fall would be enough to ruin your holiday. The apartment is otherwise clean and has what you need, but the toilet is in the hallway, so you have to get dressed to use it at night. That arrangement isn’t for us.
