The room and bathroom were spacious, which we liked, but the cleaning seemed superficial. The bed frame was really dusty, for example, and the corners under the sofa could use a proper clean. This is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel, yet cigarette smoke was noticeable everywhere, from the window and in the hall and stairwell, even near reception when we came in. It probably doesn't help that the staff are all heavy smokers.

The staff were very friendly, even though they don't speak perfect English. Our room felt cosy, and breakfast was pretty good. In the evening, guests can pour their own tap beer at the little old-school bar corner.

This place is super cosy. It's a real pension built in the 1800s, and such a friendly spot. Skip the hotel chains and stay here. If you can, get a room higher up so you can see the wooden beams. I love it.

A quiet, pleasant B&B, or pension in German. It's basic, with a standard buffet breakfast, but the showers are great.
