Breakfast was good, but at €250 for the night with breakfast, the stay didn't feel worth the cost. I've stayed in dozens of hotels around Germany, Europe, and elsewhere, and this was one of my biggest personal regrets. I chose the "Deluxe Room" because the photos showed a spacious, charming rustic room. I expected more than the basic "Classic" option, especially with the hotel's good reviews. The room I got felt smaller and quite unlike what I'd expected from the pictures. To reach it, you had to use an outdoor corridor facing the restaurant patio, and later the noise from there became a problem. Its only window was beside the entrance door and looked onto that corridor, so it didn't feel very private. When I asked at reception, they said it was indeed a Deluxe room. I also found the interaction less friendly than I'd expect at a 4-star hotel. At night, patio noise came straight into the room through the open corridor, and I was glad I had earplugs. Light came in through a window above the door that couldn't be blocked, so the room never got fully dark. I had to cover my eyes with clothes to get some rest. The bed and pillows weren't very comfortable for me, and taken together, those things made it one of the worst nights of sleep I've had in a hotel.

Our room came with its own sauna, which made it easy to relax after a day of long walks. The hotel is near museums and nice restaurants, and the staff were super friendly. Really nice place, totally recommend it! :)

You can put together your own breakfast, and they'll bring it to your table indoors or outside. It seems like there are no limits to what you can choose. There's also a good restaurant for dinner, plus valet parking. The rooms feel a little somber, but they're well equipped and clean. The beds are excellent, and so is the bathroom. Great hotel in a great city, highly recommended.

The location is just right between the waterfront and the old market. The historic setting has lovely brick walls and ceilings, while the rooms themselves are striking, modern, and very clean. The property spans three buildings linked by a beautiful underground walkway. Check-in was smooth, and staff helped carry our luggage to the rooms. There were complimentary drinks in the fridge, and each room had a coffee maker because the hotel makes its own Scheele coffee. Breakfast was an excellent a la carte meal and included.

The reception team went to a lot of effort to send back the phone charger I'd left behind, and I'm very grateful. The location is great, the interiors are stylish, and the food was tasty.
