Bed Breakfast Bredl

The owner was so kind and looked after her guests really well, and breakfast was generous and thoughtfully prepared with something for everyone. The B&B itself is beautiful too, full of antiques and impressive architecture. I really didn't want to leave, and I'd happily book there again if I'm back in Straubing.

I had a horrible night and never received an apology. At 11:37 PM, even though I had the door code, I couldn't get into the house. The gate was locked; after climbing over it, I found the door secured with a padlock, so the code still didn't help. Calling and ringing the bell got me nowhere. The owner showed no understanding the next morning. She said I should have left my keys on the counter when I went out, so she'd know I wasn't there. By the way, my previous review was deleted.

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the decor quite interesting. Staff were very friendly as well. The place feels a bit dated, especially the bathroom, which needs renovating, and the breakfast buffet was on the small side.

I prefer a modern place, though anyone who likes nostalgia might feel at home here. The service and coordination were a disaster: rooms were rented to other people, and while I was away my belongings were moved to a different room. Unbelievable.
