B&B Hotel Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen

The hotel was clean, with comfortable beds, central heating that worked well and instant hot water, all very handy in the December cold. We had three people and three beds in one room, and the Wi-Fi was fast. It's just behind the Porsche Museum, which we came to see. For a budget place, it's a very good option for the night. I'll stay again if I come to Stuttgart. I wish parking for electric charging were free.

It's not too bad, but don't bring an electric car. Once the charging session ends, you're expected to unplug at night or you'll be charged 80€. That makes no sense for an AC charger.

The price was really affordable, and breakfast was filling, so I thought the value for money was excellent. I enjoyed my stay. The clean room had AC I could adjust myself, instead of a panel I couldn't control, and it was just a 500m walk to the Porsche Museum.

The kindest, most professional person I dealt with was the younger staff member with long blond hair, who worked morning shifts. My experience with the receptionist was very disappointing. When I asked whether we could use the AC again after it had set off the fire alarm on our second day, he didn't give a clear no. Instead, he warned that if the alarm went off again, we'd be outside for a long time. I pointed out that nights were cold, around 3-5°C, and he told me we could leave the hotel. We'd booked a triple room, but it was very cramped, with uncomfortable beds and barely enough room to move. On the second day, the alarm went off when we switched on the AC. We only found out at reception what had happened. The receptionist first blamed pizza, but ours was cold leftover pizza from the day before. Then he suggested smoking, though none of us smoke. I explained that the AC was the only difference from the first night, when there'd been no alarm. The attitude we got was unprofessional and not what I'd expect from hotel staff.
