Nothing fancy, but the rooms and cleanliness were good and the place wasn’t shabby. The walls are a bit thin, and I could hear water moving through the pipes nearby. I sleep well, so it didn’t bother me, though I can see it being an issue for someone else.

My flights from the UK to Germany were all cancelled, but they still wouldn’t refund the stay or let me change the dates. They ignored my emails, both direct and through Booking.com. I eventually had Booking.com call, and the hotel flatly refused to be flexible.

The water bottle costs 3.5 euros here, while the same thing sells for 1 euro outside. My room was average and had a shared bathroom. There was no liquid soap in the toilet, and the TV offered just 13 channels, all in German. Not having even one English channel wasn’t good for someone like me who isn’t German.

I’ve never stayed somewhere so expensive where it was this hard to sleep. The bed felt like one from an old house, and honestly I would have slept better in a car, even at less than 80€. I won’t make that mistake again. When I tried to raise something with the lady, she didn’t seem very interested.
