ibis Styles Stuttgart Vaihingen

There's not much right nearby, but an S-Bahn stop is close, so you can take the train wherever you need to go. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and exceptional.

We stayed one night on the way to Austria, as a family of three with a baby. We'd requested a baby cot in advance and had confirmation, but there wasn't one in the room when we arrived. Staff said the team responsible had already left and they couldn't arrange one. Our baby had to sleep in our bed, which felt unsafe, and we had a horrible night's rest. When we raised it at checkout, the staff were dismissive and said nothing could be done because the booking was prepaid. Very disappointing and not family-friendly. If you're travelling with young children, stay away from this hotel.

Check-in was easy and the place was nice and clean. There isn't secure parking, only street parking. I came on a motorbike and really had nowhere safe to leave it.

We paid €140 a night at this 3-star hotel, and it was one of the most disappointing, overpriced stays we've had. We expected decent service and clear pricing, but got hidden charges, cold staff, and a €400 laundry bill that spoiled the end of our trip. We handed over a small bag of ordinary clothes and were shocked to see the €400 charge at checkout. There was no price list in the room, no warning, and nobody mentioned the cost when staff collected the clothes. They quietly added it to the bill and acted as if it was normal. When we challenged the charge, the front desk was unhelpful and dismissive, saying the prices were “available on request.” At €400, guests should be explicitly warned. It felt deceptive, as if they hoped we wouldn't notice until it was too late. The rooms were basic and tired, the service was slow, and nearly everything on the premises was ridiculously overpriced for a 3-star hotel charging €140 a night. Avoid it. The stay wasn't worth the money or stress, or the surprise bill. You can find better, more honest accommodation for half the price.
