Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport

I've known this hotel for years and stayed there many times between 2006 and 2012. The renovation looks great, with really nice new furniture, and the beds are perfect. There was a downside this time: check-in late took quite a while, probably because it's hard to find good, committed staff, and the person was also very unfriendly.

A handy hotel for Stuttgart airport, just a few steps from the airport itself. The rooms are good and the bar is fantastic, with good staff as well. Parking is underneath, though it can sometimes be full.

Wat, one of the cleaning associates, was so welcoming. She greeted me with a smile and offered help as soon as I needed it. The lobby was spotless, and her upbeat attitude made the place feel even more pleasant. A lovely example of the hotel's service.

The location is great, but the reception service was completely unprofessional and incompetent. They put the wrong room number on my check-in form, so I had to go back and forth twice. At checkout, receptionist Ahmed charged me twice for the night, then insisted I hadn't paid until I showed the receipt. After that, he claimed I'd asked him to charge it again 😂 He couldn't cancel the extra card charge after several tries, then disappeared, and I had to search for him with another receptionist. I had a flight in 1.5 hours, so this was especially stressful. I finally got it sorted later when normal staff arrived. I've been an Accor member for years and stayed at many hotels in the chain, but this was my first such disappointment.
