Hotel Stuttgart 21

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the hotel badly needs renovating. The rooms felt old, worn and dirty. I found someone else's hair in the bathroom, mushrooms on the soaps, and the extra pillow looked awful. I was glad I only stayed one night. The area didn't feel safe after dark.

The rooms were extremely hot, and the bathroom was even hotter with no way to control the temperature. It also smelled as if people had been smoking there for years. Breakfast was a big disappointment. The Google photos suggest a spread with several cereals, but what we got was just bread, cheese, salami, Nutella, some juice, coffee and warm milk. I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

Our corner room had huge windows and a nice view. The place was clean and nice, with bright, spacious rooms. The location is great too, with a big mall and tram stop within walking distance, and the city center is an easy walk. Noise was the problem: the doors don't block sound, so you hear people shouting in the corridors and nearby rooms. Our neighbors were really loud and ruined our sleep.

The breakfast kept running out each morning, leaving us waiting for food that never seemed to appear. The room where breakfast was served was just as bad, with dirty tables, crumbs, stains, forgotten trash, spills and dust everywhere. It felt like a deliberate display of neglect. My stay was a strange lesson in how far a hotel can push your patience and its idea of cleanliness. Bring your own breakfast and plenty of irony.
