Hotel Möhringer Hof

The room had plenty of space and was clean and quiet. I was greeted with a smile, and the person at the counter was professional and really helpful. Restaurants and grocery stores are an easy walk away, as are the train and bus stations. A fantastic stay.

Friendly people throughout made this a very good stay. The hotel is simple, but clean, new and quiet, with a great quality for the price. There are electric car plugs and a dedicated car park. Breakfast was more than complete, with a self-service spread plus anything else we needed offered by the hotel tenants.

The location is the main advantage. It’s close to the airport, a pleasant outdoor pool is a ten-minute walk away, and there’s a supermarket and a couple of restaurants or pizzerias nearby. The room, though, was up in the attic. It was already small, and the sloped ceiling made it even more cramped. I’m tall and kept hitting my head. There was no elevator to that floor, so we had to carry all our bags up a very narrow wooden ladder. Booking.com said parking was free, but the hotel only had about three outside spaces and they were taken. I paid an extra €20 in cash for underground parking. The receptionist said card payment would cost another 10%, though I’m not sure that’s even legal. There was no kettle in the room, and staff couldn’t offer another way to get hot water even though I asked. That was especially disappointing and inconvenient for our family with two children.

Before we arrived, the staff got in touch to ask about our disabled daughter’s needs and arranged a room with separate elevator access that was equipped to support her. They also checked in regularly to make sure everything was working for us. We had a fantastic stay over the summer with her using a wheelchair. A highly recommended place to stay.
