I had to find another hotel at the last minute and couldn’t stay here at all. I arrived around 4 PM, an hour after check-in was supposed to start, but the key wasn’t in the lockbox. The hotel is fully automated with no staff on site, and the phone number they gave didn’t work. After a long delay, I reached them on WhatsApp and was told to come back 2-3 hours later because the room wasn’t clean yet. I had to cancel professional meetings I’d scheduled that evening. When I returned, the key was still unavailable. They told me to go into a “staff room” and take another key, but the room they directed me to was already occupied. I came face to face with a guest who was understandably very shocked. This is a very serious security issue. They then told me to try my assigned room, which was open, but it was completely dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned or prepared for a guest. I had a confirmed reservation and was unable to stay.

They took our money but provided no service. We wanted to stay, but couldn’t get to the hotel because it’s in a low emission area and our car didn’t have the required sticker, so we would have been fined. We only noticed this after booking, and called hours before check-in to explain. The employee on the phone was nasty and unhelpful, saying the police would look at the car, not the sticker. We told him we don’t have a low emission car and CAN’T get to the location. Booking.com’s website and app never mentioned that a sticker was needed, so there was no way for us to know. We asked for a refund and explained we had to cancel because it wasn’t possible to drive there, but were told a refund wasn’t possible. That’s very unfair treatment, especially since we gave notice well on time.

What went wrong started at check-in: we arrived around 9:20 pm, before the stated 10 pm cutoff, but reception was shut and our names weren't on the envelopes with the keys. After we called, someone had to come over with ours. We were then told there was a problem and we'd need to share the bathroom with the next room, with a price reduction promised. The room was clean, but it had two single beds set far apart, not the one extra-large double bed we booked. When we raised it, we were told to ask for the beds to be pushed together. The room itself was small, and that wasn't what I understood by an extra-large double room. Parking was full, so we left the car on the street. The lift only reached the third floor, then we had to carry our bags up steps to the room. In the end, we got a discount of €6.60. When we complained, the response was basically that we'd been unlucky and everyone else leaves happy. We didn't get what we paid for, and we certainly didn't leave happy.

There was mold all over the bathroom walls, and even basics like shampoo, soap, and toilet paper were missing. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

As a Bosch employee, I had a really bad stay here. The lift is tiny, with room for only one or two people, and it doesn't go to the fourth floor. Breakfast cost €10 but the selection was very limited. They took all the money, including payment for breakfast, on my first day, then went on some tour for the last four days, so there was no breakfast either. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially Bosch employees.
