Ferienwohnung Vogelsang

The landlady was welcoming, and there’s plenty of nature around. The little holiday apartment was lovely and very clean.

We had a really restorative stay here, surrounded by countryside. There’s a road nearby, but hardly any traffic, and walking past the old fruit trees, pond, and a few inquisitive sheep was a lovely way to leave everyday worries behind. The hosts were kind and helpful, and parking was free. The covered seating area has a grill and looks out over the greenery, so you can enjoy being outdoors even when it rains. The apartment itself is furnished with care. There’s plenty to do nearby too, from a day at the North Sea to visiting Husum or the Stone Age village of Albersdorf. A real hidden gem for a relaxing break.

We found the apartment especially convenient for wheelchair users, with step-free access, wide doors, and a walk-in shower. It’s also a handy base for trips to either the North Sea or Baltic Sea coasts, and shops are nearby. Ms. Vogelsang welcomed us so warmly. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully furnished, with fresh garden flowers and tasty plums waiting for us. We had what we needed to get started, and Ms. Vogelsang was quick to help whenever something was missing. When we mentioned wanting to barbecue, a grill and charcoal were ready the next evening, though in the end we didn’t use them. The covered patio was a lovely place to wind down, with the fire crackling in the fire pit. It’s a little out of the way, which made it very peaceful. A few cars passed and cows called now and then, but neither bothered us. We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday.

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely holiday apartment on an idyllic farm and would happily return. The owners are very nice.
