Hotel Südheide

The owners don't seem to care much about their guests. We were eight people on the terrace and had to go inside for more drinks, since no one came over on their own. I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Downstairs there were dust bunnies everywhere and a musty smell. The rooms were okay but nothing special, the mattresses were worn out, and the bathroom needs renovating. For what it offers, the hotel is ridiculously overpriced.

The attached restaurant next to the hotel served good food, and the staff were friendly. The bedroom was good too. I expected more variety at breakfast.

The buffet dinner cost over €20 and was insulting for the price. I've had better food at a fast-food place. The hotel air was musty, the rooms badly outdated and in need of renovation, and cleanliness was clearly lacking. The service for what we paid was outrageous. Sorry, but never again.

At €75 a night, cleanliness and hot water should be standard, but that wasn't the case at Hotel Südheide. There was hair from the previous guest in the shower drain, mold in the shower and on its doors, and torn bed linen. That's unacceptable. I don't care about things like "Happy Christmas" toilet paper in July. Breakfast costs €14, yet it was just fresh rolls, two slices of cheese, four slices of sausage, honey, jam, and a pot of coffee. That really shouldn't cost so much.
