10/10
The lake is close by and the whole place is wonderfully quiet, so it’s great for really switching off. The hotel is way out in the northeast German countryside, and the buildings have a rustic feel while still having everything you need. There’s plenty of country life around, horses, bikes, cats and such, plus a sauna and indoor pool. The people are friendly in that northern German way, and I mean that sincerely. A large BBQ happens every few days, so it’s worth timing a visit for one.

A pleasant hotel for riding and relaxing, with a pool, a good restaurant, and polite service. There’s also a camping area and riding teachers. Just be aware there’s no lift for suitcases.

Lovely terrace, high-quality food, and professional service.

The room was disappointing, and the bed sheets were too small for the bed. The service wasn’t very friendly either. I’m left wondering where the three stars come from.
